Remembering Rajeev

I am Ron Conway, I met Rajeev and Asha shortly after the founding of Google.  And we have been fast friends ever since!

As part of todays celebration of Rajeevs life, let's remember that sparkle in his eye and great smile.  And his warm laugh, his friendship, and his understated, even-keeled, selfless, soft-spoken style.

He was an exceptional academic scholor and entrepreneur, and most of all... a loving Papa and husband.

He was always so generous with his time, for everyone including everyone gathered here.  I was talking last night to Rajeev's brother, Sanjay, and we concluded that there must have been THREE of him!!! ….one was always at university café and another was always at stanford and the other one at google!!

What a sense of PRESENCE he had about him! When he was in the room you knew it!

As Sergey mentioned,  we now bear a responsibility to nurture the seeds that Rajeev planted for us, and to build a grove.....

Therefore, lets join together and carry forward Rajeevs unfinished works and dreams.

Asha and Rajeev's close friends have begun assembling a group to fill the void and carry forward Rajeev's interests in academia, entrepreneurship, and philanthropy through specific actions....

So STAY ENGAGED and increase the Motwani #2 factor Sergey shared with us and please leave us your email address at www.rememberingrajeev.com, and we will be reaching out to you soon.

It is our responsibility now to fill the void Rajeev left behind by carrying forward Rajeev's unfinished works and dreams.  Please, stay engaged.

ACTIONS Speak louder than words and lets take action to complete Rajeev's important mission.

Now for some Housekeeping!

We are going to  continue celebrating Rajeev's life at the reception that immediately follows at the Littlefield Courtyard, just a short walk from here.  Ushers will help show you the way, and refreshments will be served .

Rajeev's family will be in front of the church immediately following and then will proceed shortly after to the Littlefield Courtyard.

Then at 6:30 pm we will proceed to the Frost Ampitheater, also walking distance, to hear one of Rajeev's favorite bands, Indian Ocean.

Lastly, if you don't want to take your program with you to the reception and concert,  leave them here in the Church.  A small quantity will be available after the concert.

On behalf of Rajeev and his family, we want to sincerely thank you for joining us and sharing in the celebration of Rajeev'ss life.

Thank You!
